    Hey Cara

I have a question/rant I guess (not aimed at yourself!)

I dont understand why the time limits are so strict and minimal for the AQA papers – I find its really a test of speed and writing ability rather than application of knowledge.

I get they want us to write concisely but I find there is literally no amount of room for thinking in these timed essay questions and especially for papers 3+4 I think its more a test of how fast people can jump right in and write rather than actual display of knowledge..I cant help but think this is incredibly unfair for people who write slower but are probably more knowledged and capable!

    Help again

The timings are set by the exam control body. They dictate that there is only a fixed number of hours allowed for any A level. Given the fit that the paper has to be an hour and a half, they could just have two essay questions but that would seem too few.

    Cara
